All Around LS Man

Since childhood, I have always shown enthusiasm in music and also in street dancing, performing in every dance events in my elementary school, Holy Cross College. I was also a part of a band “Banda” and played the role of a snare drum player back in his home town Sta. Rosa Nueva Ecija. Between the year 1990 and 1996, I was influenced in music a lot by famous Filipino artists such as Sir Francis Magalona (which I used to mimic a lot back then sa likod ng bahay namen) Andrew E, Siakol, Grin Department, Eraserheads etc. Influenced by the street or “mga tambay sa kanto”, I took interest in learning the basics of Guitar playing. Sadly I didn’t become one of those “Gitarista”.
After graduating elementary, I moved to London (England) in 1997 to live with my Mum and my little Bro. I took lessons on Piano and picked Music as one of my subjects in Secondary school. I started to create my own musical compositions from the year 1999 onwards.
As the year goes on, I became really interested in Hip Hop and was taking Street Dance lessons with D-ReXx, we became a part of a group called FWD (Flirtin With Danger).
In college, I started to listen to US rap artists such as Tupac Shakur, Biggie, DMX, BTNH, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre.

I also started listening to Eminem who inspired me to rap real lyrics and Gloc-9 where I was influenced by his fast and clear deliveries of words. I started writing my own rap lyrics back in the year 2001, recording on Cassette Players. Childish lyrics, you know!. Within my friends I was the centre of attraction kapag may inuman na, always being asked to rap. Then I met Aziatik’s brother and hooked me up with Aries aka Silakbo who introduced me to Filipino internet rap community. He also made me a member of his group “Delicado” in 2003 which was under an independent internet label called RAW (Rebel Artist Wrecords). Met a lot of now what I would call Veteran internet rappers and collaborated with them, to name a few they were T.Max, Bolin, Stamina, Simbagsik, New Elementz, Yellow Kid etc. I then met Aziatik and also joined our now former rap group “Delicado”.
2004, RAW started to break apart so me and Aziatik planned and managed to make our own independent internet record label which is now known as LS or Lirikong Supremo, It was really hard to begin with, nobody took notice of us, no one knew who we were but with the help of all the members who gladly joined us, we kept making real music ignoring any obstacle that gets in our way. With my experience in composing music, I became the main source of original beats for LS big group projects. Appointing T.Max in charge of our live performances and gigs for being the most experienced in the rap scene within the group, he hooked us up in most Filipino Events and Festivals here in London and all across United Kingdom.
Focusing my flow, delivery, lyrical content, mixed a variety of music genre into my own materials, fused my rough childhood experiences in life in my music by describing what I see and what I felt, I managed to perfect my flow and reached full potential in writing and creating real music, and became the “KyD” I am today. I aimed even harder to relate every words that I wrote to those who experienced the same things that I have felt. I did not stop as my fans grew larger, reaching listeners from all over the globe.
Achievements:
- Now receiving more than 7,000 song plays a month in my soundclick page and also more than 200,000 song plays in total since 2004.
